How to Master your Shot… the Biggest Lie in Basketball Training

shootingformBefore you can shoot a natural and smooth shot, you have to have the mechanics locked into your muscle memory.  Some players have trained with improper techniques and locked the wrong movements into their muscles. My friend Paul Hoover is somewhat of a”rebel” in teaching players to shoot.  I like Paul’s methods of teaching because he doesn’t glaze over on the specifics, and shows how the best shooters are also using the techniques he teaches.  In my interview provided in The Jump Manual, Paul talks about everything from foot alignment, to finger placement so that your shot lines up smoothly and consistently.
