How To Make Jake’s Shake Rocket–Or Whatever It’s Called

The point of this article is not to convince you of all the benefits of supplementation, but if you’re not convinced, you really should be. Proper diet and nutrition can drastically affect your recovery, preventing injury, creating faster muscle gains and better energy for workout. And if you’re not able to have the perfect diet —which most of us aren’t—supplementation can drastically improve your performance and your training. The truth about it is that diet and supplementation can be really annoying. I’ve found the best way is shakes; but protein shakes can be messy. You can’t carry around a tub of protein with you—and if you could, you can’t scoop it into a small-mouth bottle or clean up the bottles. And it’s hard to get a protein shake properly mixed so that it’s not all clumpy and gross. Now the Jake’s Shake Rocket—this is what I’m calling it right now, because I don’t know what else to call it—I know it’s a horrible name, so I’d love to hear your comments on a nice, catchy slash funny name to call it, but it really works. And it’s cheap. It’s mobile: you can make protein shakes walking down the street with it. And it’s easy to mix a protein shake to a nice consistency. I came up with this little gadget when I was trying to gain weight while we were traveling, because I hate traveling for extended periods of time and then losing all sorts of weight—it’s just annoying. So I came up with this little gadget, and it worked like a dream In fact, I replaced my Magic Bullet Blender which I thought was the best solution. Ok, so here’s how you make one. You need a small jar. It’s got to be plastic, and it’s got to have a screw-on lid. You need a water bottle; and it needs to be the same width as the jar; and it must have a small mouth. You need clear packing tape, and a knife, and then a large-mouthed bottle like Gatorade or Powerade. It’s really easy. First step: cut the plastic jar. Leave a few inches left after the lid. So, you just need a few inches that you’re going to use later on. Now, cut the end of the plastic jar off. Then tape that jar to the end of the bottle, so now the end of that bottle is the screw-on lid. Ok, you’re pretty much done. Now, what are you supposed to do with it? Well, unscrew the jar, and fill that entire bottle full of protein. So now you’ve got a large bottle full of protein that you can easily put in your backpack or take with you. Now screw the lid back on tight. Now you can easily stick the small mouth of the water bottle into the large mouth of the Gatorade bottle. And you can pour in as much protein as you’d like. If you want to be very specific with it, you can make a mark on your Gatorade bottle to what a portion is for the protein or whatever supplement you’re using. Then, I just throw the two bottles in my backpack, and no matter where you’re at, maybe I’ll leave, fill the Gatorade bottle with water; and then when I need a protein shake, I can just put the powder in the bottle, shake it up real nice, and then it comes to a nice consistency. And then you’ve got a shake when you’re on the go. It’s been easy enough using this that I can I can even make a shake when I’m walking down the road—if I’m walking home from the gym, or no matter what I’m doing, I can easily make myself a quick protein shake. I don’t need to have a blender. I don’t need to have a big tub of protein with me. I just need my little magic bottle and a Gatorade-size bottle that I can easily make my shake with. Anyways, I hope this helps. I hope this is going to make your supplement life a little easier so that it’s easier for you to get the proper proteins, and get the proper nutrition you need to get maximum results.
